Purpose

This article goes over how partner accounts and partner contacts integrate with Allbound (PRM) and your CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or Pipedrive).

Partner Accounts/Companies

The first connection in the Allbound integration with any CRM, syncs partner accounts/company records from the CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, or Pipedrive) to Allbound. When you're ready to sync a partner account to Allbound, you must select an Allbound Status (Active, Inactive, or Pending) in the Allbound Status field that lives on the account record in your CRM. This will initialize the sync with the integration and creates the associated partner company record in Allbound.

  • Pro Tip: Make sure the company website is populated on the account record before initializing the sync to Allbound. This will effect your partners' experience.

When the account / company record syncs to Allbound, an Allbound ID will be generated by the integration and will populate the Allbound ID field on the account / company record in your CRM. An Allbound ID is generated on all records that pass through the integration. If the record in question does not contain an Allbound ID, then it has not synced with Allbound.

  • Tip: The sync can take up to 5 minutes to finalize. After 5 minutes, an Allbound ID will populate on the account / company record in your CRM. If you've refreshed your screen after 5-10 minutes since the Allbound Status was selected, and you do not see the Allbound ID populating, nor the company record in the companies directory in Allbound, you can check the Integration Manager Logs.
    • Navigate to the cogwheel / gear icon in the top-right corner of your Allbound portal, then select "Integration Manager". The first section that appears is the logs. If you see an error in red, please contact Allbound support at support@allbound.com

Where you will find partner companies in Allbound

The partner companies live in the "Companies" section of Allbound. To find them, navigate to the cogwheel / gear icon in the top-right corner of your Allbound instance, then select "Companies".

Partner Contacts/Allbound Users

The next connection syncs partner contacts (users of the Allbound portal) from Allbound to the CRM. When a partner contact registers as a user in Allbound their user profile is created in Allbound, and syncs to your CRM as a contact record with the Allbound ID of the user profile, and their contact record in SFDC is then automatically associated with the partner company they registered with in Allbound, because we obtained the Salesforce AccountID prior to the contact ever registering as a user in Allbound.

  • Pro Tip: Partner contacts can only register if the partner company they work with is listed in the Allbound companies directory, the Allbound Status is "Active", and the email domain of their users is whitelisted. Please see this article for more details: How to Whitelist a Company Domain

If the contact record of a partner already exists in your CRM, Allbound simply connects to the existing record, applying an Allbound ID to the contact in the CRM. During this transaction/sync the CRM attaches a CRM ID to user profile in Allbound, which essentially bridges these two records across both platforms. The same is true for all records that pass through the integration on both sides.
