Purpose
This article defines the 5 Content Repositories within the Allbound platform. Also listed are our recommended best practices and tips.
Introduction
The Content Repositories are found within the left-hand navigation panel of your Dashboard page. There are a total of 5 available repositories that house your uploaded content:
A. Content & Resources
B. Training & Pre-Sales
C. Customer Success
D. Playbooks
E. Knowledge Base
Each section is a powerful tool that allows partners to digest information.
A. Content & Resources
"Content & Resources" is the repository for all uploaded content within the platform. This repository allows unlimited storage, uploads, sharing capabilities, and user access. The primary use case for the "Content & Resources" section is to enable all of your partner users to access your content in the easiest way possible. This section is typically the “go to” place for your Channel content, whether it be internal or external. This is where your partner users will learn about your company's work. Users may utilize filters within this section to quickly find the content they are looking for. "Content & Resources" can be customized via Static and/or Dynamic Groups to ensure content is specific to your partner users' needs. Learn How to Create and Edit Pieces of Content in Your Portal. The link to this section will end in "/engage/"
B. Training & Pre-Sales
The "Training & Pre-Sales" repository can be used as a learning system within Allbound; similar to an LMS (a Learning Management System.) Use this section to educate your partner users about your company. The content within this repository cannot be shared externally; it is only meant for partner onboarding. This section houses both Training & Pre-Sales AND Learning Track content.
Training & Pre-Sales content is created similarly to content within the "Content & Resources" repository; you can attach an asset. A piece of Training & Pre-Sales content is one that does not necessarily require a quiz for knowledge retention or it cannot be technically grouped into a Learning Track. Examples you can upload are price lists, other training one-sheeters, individual training videos, etc.
On the other hand, similar-themed pieces of content can be combined into one Learning Track. Learning Tracks can be customized with a quiz at the end to ensure that information is retained.
The link to this section will end in "/learn/".
C. Customer Success
The "Customer Success" repository can be used as a secondary repository. It can be used for any customer-specific purpose. This section can be renamed. The link to this section will end in "/win/".
D. Playbooks
The "Playbooks" repository is where all of your Playbooks are housed. A Playbook is a collection of individual pieces of content that are organized around specific topics such as: Product, Industry, Type of Buyer, and more. They allow you to build out a folder structure within Allbound to help keep your content organized and easy to navigate. Playbooks are especially useful for your partners as they often encounter sales-based scenarios on the above topics. With Playbooks, your partners can quickly access and share the appropriate content to support interactions with prospects; especially with our Allbound feature, Prospect Pages. The link to this section will end in "/playbooks/".
E. Knowledge Base
The "Knowledge Base" repository can be used as a secondary repository. This is sometimes used as a replacement for the primary content repository, "Content & Resources." The link to this section will end in "/knowledge-base/".
Best Practices/Tips
- To better organize your Content & Resources repository, follow these best practices:
- Within a single piece of content, you may toggle on the "Hide in Main Library" setting. While this setting is activated, the piece of content will not show within the "Content & Resources" repository. This will help organize your repository and avoid clutter. This piece of content will be hidden from general consumption and it will only show in assigned Playbooks and/or Learning Tracks
- Within a single piece of content, you may toggle on the "Priority" setting. Input a number into this setting (1-9999) to organize the "Content & Resources" section. "1" means that the piece of content will appear at the top of the page. "9999" means the content will appear at the bottom of the page. You may use all numbers in between to organize.
- You may use the "Content & Resources" repository to upload your collateral marketing material you would like your partner users to share with prospects. (Examples include: Case studies, White papers, Webinars, etc.)
