Single Sign-On
Previously, Allbound's Company Specific SSO Login option allowed System Admins to configure specific companies to use specific SAML identity service providers (IDPs). Unfortunately, this was hard to scale if you wanted all companies to use SSO and only select companies to login using their Allbound credentials.
Now, the Company Specific SSO Login option allows you to:
- (optionally) configure which companies use a specific IDP,
- (optionally) configure all companies to use a specific IDP, and
- (optionally) configure which companies have an exception and do not use SSO for authentication at all.
Additionally, the IDP dropdown list now supports both SAML IDP and JWT IDP connections.
To customize Company Specific SSO Logins:
- To map a single company to a specific IDP, search and select each company that has a specific IDP requirement and select the IDP for that company. These companies must be configured at the top of the list. If you don't have any company-specific SSO requirements, this step can be skipped.
- To map all other companies to a specific IDP, select 'All Companies' from the Company dropdown and select the appropriate IDP that all other companies will redirect to for authentication.
- Note: Top-to-bottom order matters when configuring company specific SSO. If you have specific companies that are using an IDP and all other companies are using another IDP, then 'All Companies' must be configured as the bottom/last option since the logic evaluates company domains from top to bottom. The All Companies option will apply to all users from all companies not identified in company-specific mappings above.
- In the Exceptions field, search and select one or more companies that will not use SSO for authentication. Users from these companies will use their Allbound username and password to login to the portal.
