Media Asset Privacy
System Admins and Content Admins can now verify the privacy settings for all media assets attached to content in the Content Management Tool. This allows users to filter by Private or Public to quickly audit Media Asset Privacy settings.
To view the Media Asset Privacy column, click Columns to view the Customize Columns drawer then:
- Click Add Columns
- Select Media Asset Privacy field
- Click Apply
Content with an attached media asset will display either 'Public' or 'Private' in the Media Asset Privacy column. If content does not have an attached media asset, then the column will be blank.
To filter Content by a specific Media Asset Privacy value:
- Click Filters
- Click Select Filters to display the Filters dropdown
- Select Media Asset Privacy field
- In the Filters drawer, select either Private or Public
- Click Apply
The Content table will display all content that has attached media assets with the filtered privacy value.
To change the Media Asset Privacy value for a media asset:
- Click the kebab menu for the related content
- Click Edit Media Asset option to go directly to the media asset file
- Within the Media Asset file > Offload section, on the right side, the Access field displays the media asset privacy setting. Click the Access value to toggle the privacy setting:
- If Access is Private then click Private to change Access to Public
- If Access is Public then click Public to change Access to Private
Note: If you edit a Media Asset's Privacy, the privacy value displayed in the Content Management table may take up to an hour to reflect the change.
