Purpose
This article provides best practices for Allbound's Playbooks feature.
What is a Playbook?
A Playbook is a collection of individual pieces of content that are organized around specific topics such as: Product, Industry, Type of Buyer, and more. They allow you to build out a folder structure within Allbound to help keep your content organized and easy to navigate. A Playbook can house Learning Tracks or other Playbooks. When a Playbook is nested into another Playbook, it creates a consolidated group.
Playbook Use Cases
Playbooks are especially useful for your partners as they often encounter sales-based scenarios on the above topics. With Playbooks, your partners can quickly access and share the appropriate content to support interactions with prospects; especially with our Allbound feature, Prospect Pages.

How to Increase the Adoption of the Playbooks Feature to Your Users
- Show and remind all of your users in your portal the value of the tool:
- Before launching your portal to any of your partner users, we recommend having at least three Playbooks built out for your users
- Create a Call to Action button on your Dashboard explaining how to use your pre-uploaded Playbooks
- Create a piece of content explaining how to use and share Playbooks as a partner user
- Create a piece of content explaining how to create a Playbook as a partner user
- Rename the Playbook section to make it more intuitive, here are some ideas:
- Partner Enablement
- Sales Toolkit
- Sales Resources
- Sales & Marketing Playbooks
- Campaigns in a Box
*Note: contact your Customer Support Manager to re-name your Playbooks section
- Set up reminders through Partner Journey Automation (PJA:)
- While onboarding your new partner users, create a new PJA workflow with a message that guides them to view the Playbooks section within your portal
- Leverage Allbound's Gamification feature:
- Incentivize all of your users to view and interact with the individual pieces of content within a Playbook by assigning points to the pieces
- Our recommended Gamification actions: "viewed content" and "created Prospect Page"
- Create Groups and Apply Group Visibility to Playbooks:
- If some Playbooks are meant for certain partners, toggle on Group Visibility for them. For example, only your Sales users have access to your Sales Enablement Playbooks, or only some Playbooks should be available to your APAC region partners, or only some Playbooks should be available to your Reseller partners, etc.
