Purpose

This article provides best practices for Allbound's Learning Tracks feature.

What is a Learning Track?

A Learning Track is a collection of similar-themed individual pieces of content combined into one module. They are used to train and onboard your partner users about your company and your product solution. All of your Learning Tracks are housed within the "Training & Presales" repository in your portal.

Learning Track Use Cases

Learning Tracks should accomplish these goals:

  • Introduce and onboard your new partner users
  • Guide partners with training(s) and other resources to help them grow and evolve within your company
  • Offer unique and specialized content to the distinct needs of your different partner types and/or user Groups
  • Include brief Quizzes to ensure retention of information

Examples of Types of Learning Tracks

  • Getting Started with (Your Company)
  • Product Training
  • Certification Courses
  • Video Training
  • Training for (insert your partner type)

How to Increase the Adoption of the Learning Tracks Feature to Your Users

  • Show and remind all of your users in your portal the value of the tool:
    • Before launching your portal to any of your partner users, we recommend having at least three Learning Tracks built out for your users
    • Create a Call to Action button on your Dashboard guiding your users to complete their first Learning Track
  • Rename the Training & Pre-Sales section to make it more intuitive, here are some ideas:
    • Partner Training
    • Training
    • Internal Training
    • Coursework
    • Learning Tracks
    • Education
    • Partner Enablement

*Note: contact your Customer Support Manager to re-name your Training & Pre-Sales section

  • Set up reminders through Partner Journey Automation (PJA:)
    • While onboarding your new partner users, create a new PJA workflow with a message that guides them to view the Training & Pre-Sales section or view a specific Learning Track within your portal
  • Leverage Allbound's Gamification feature:
    • Incentivize all of your users to view and interact with your Learning Tracks by assigning points to them
    • Our recommended Gamification action: "viewed content"
  • Create Groups and Apply Group Visibility to Learning Tracks:
    • If some Learning Tracks are meant for certain partners, toggle on Group Visibility for them. For example, only some Learning Tracks should be available to your APAC region partners, or only some Learning Tracks should be available to your Reseller partners, etc.

How to Use Learning Tracks as a Partner User

  • In order to achieve a 100% Completion Rate for a Learning Track, a user should always click the "View Now" button within each piece of content
  • To track the completion status of a Learning Track, you and users will see a green checkmark icon over the featured image of a completed piece of content within a Learning Track

  • Each Learning Track tile within the Training & Pre-Sales repository will show a progress bar. See below screenshot.

How to Ensure Your Learning Tracks Display and Work Correctly

  • All individual pieces of content included in a Learning Track must be set to "Public" visibility for users to achieve the 100% completion rate
  • If you choose to add a Quiz at the end of a Learning Track, the Quiz must have:
    • A grading scale associated with it
    • The correct answers for each question toggled on
    • The "Quiz" field should be dragged and dropped to create each Quiz question
