Purpose

In this article, your team will understand best practices when it comes to deal registration.

General Deal Registration

  1. Keep it simple when starting out.
    • Only collect information from your partners that you absolutely need. By simplifying, your partners can easily get use to submitting deals/leads. Once they are use to the process and your program grows, you can easily add additional fields to the deal reg form.

  1. Enable Gamification for deal registration.
    • Incentivize  partners by rewarding them with points everytime they register a deal. Be sure that partners are aware that they can earn points by educating them. You can do this by creating material on the program, adding a call out about Gamification to your portal or sharing communications about the progam through your partner communications tactics.

  1. Call out Deal Registration on the dashboard.
    • Whether it’s a quick link or dashboard button, make it as easy as possible for your partners to be able to locate and quickly register deals.

Deal Stages

  1. When it comes to deal stages for your partners, keep in simple with no more than 5-7 stages. Even if you have 15 stages in your CRM, Allbound makes it easy to consolidate those stages visible to your partners.

  1. Of course, every organization is different but here are some commonly used stages:
    • New/Open/Submitted
    • Pending
    • Qualfied/Unqualified
    • In Progress/Working
    • Approved/Accepted/Won/Closed Won
    • Rejected/Denied/Lost/Closed Lost

Deal Registration Notifications

  1. Take advantage of Partner Journey Automation (if applicable) in controlling your team’s messaging when it comes deal notifications.
    • Decide what stages you would like emails to be sent (example: closed lost, closed won, etc.)
    • Determine what necessary information you would like communicated to the partner (example: closed amount, deal link, deal name, etc.)
    • Determine if you want to customize messaging further based on certain criteria such as groups, company name, etc.
    • Determine who should be copied on notifications or sent out an additional notification trigger (account owner, partner manager, etc)

  1. When setting up PJA, remember to disable your Allbound pipeline default notifications to avoid partners being inundated with deal-related emails.
    • Go to Settings>Revenue Settings>Pipeline>Deal Settings
