Purpose

This article provides best practices for Allbound's Gamification feature.

Introduction

Gamification is a powerful tool that can boost partner experience and engagement by rewarding them for undertaking tasks they should already be performing within the platform and incentivizing best practice. Gamification is scientifically proven to trigger emotions linked to positive user-experience. It gives the user control, reinforces good behavior, and provides them with a sense of achievement. Gamification encourages healthy competition both within the user and amongst their colleagues.

Gamification Use Cases

Gamification points can be added to certain actions within the platform and are most commonly used to reward the completion of Learning Tracks or when a user Registers A Deal.

The most "gamified" actions within Allbound:

  • Complete user profile
  • Register a deal
  • View Content
  • Create a Prospect Page
  • Complete a Learning Track
  • Share content via email
  • Share content via social media
  • Pass a quiz

How to Increase the Adoption of the Gamification Feature to Your Users

  • Show and remind all of your users in your portal the value of the tool:
    • Create a new Hero Image to introduce and highlight the importance of the Gamification feature for all of your users
    • Guide your users to Learning Tracks and/or pieces of content that have been "gamified" with Call to Action buttons or Quick Links that are easy accessible from the dashboard
    • Set up reminders through Partner Journey Automation (PJA) to guide your users to Learning Tracks and/or pieces of content that have been "gamified"

How to Use Gamification as a Partner User

Portal content (whether it be individual pieces or Learning Tracks) that have been "gamified" will be indicated with a gold trophy icon.

Individual Pieces of Content

For individual pieces of content, users can hover over the gold trophy icon with their mouse to see how many points a piece of content is worth. See below image as an example.

When users click into an individual piece of content, and then click on the gold trophy icon, a "points breakdown" pop-up will emerge so users may understand how the points are allocated. See below image as an example.

Where to View Total Points

Users can view their total points anytime by clicking on their user profile icon in the top toolbar and then looking right below their username. The total points will show as "You have +___ points." See below image as an example.
