Purpose

This article goes over step by step how to connect and get started with the Allbound Zoho Integration. This is everything you'll need to do on your side within Zoho before you start mapping fields with your integration specialist.

Add an Integration User

You will need to add an Allbound integrations user in your Zoho for the Allbound integration to connect to the Zoho API. Zoho requires an authenticated user license (Paid Seat) to be associated with read/write permissions in order to make API calls through an integrated app. Allbound will need read/write permissions to the following objects in Zoho: Contacts, Accounts, and Deals (which ever object(s) used for your sales). This user is tied to the API and therefore cannot be shared with anyone on your partner program team. Credentials for this user will be validated before the integration process can begin.

We recommend super admin access to avoid errors and sync failures due to restricted field permission sets.

CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Full super-admin access
Username:

  • Username has to be unique and in email format (We recommend allboundintegration@allbound.com)
  • Please create a password for the user and send credentials to integrations@allbound.com

The Allbound Integration requires custom fields to function properly with the integration. Please add the following fields to your Zoho objects. You will need to add the following required Allbound fields to the Contacts, Accounts, and Deals (which ever object(s) used for your sales) objects in order for the integration to function properly.

Connect Zoho with Allbound

In order to create a connected app with OAuth 2.0, your Zoho instance needs to be associated to a developer user. You can register for a developer account here:
https://www.zoho.com/developer/
Once a Developer account has been created, go to:
https://accounts.zoho.com/developerconsole and select “Add Client” or choose to create a Server-Based Application.

Enter the Client Name as “Allbound”
The Homepage URL will be your Allbound portal URL.
The Authorized Redirect URL will be the callback URL provided by Allbound.
Note: the client type will default to “Server-Based Application”. This can be left as is.

After you hit the Create button, a screen will pop up with the Client ID and Client Secret.
These will need to be provided to your Allbound Integration Specialist.

Once completed, you're ready to start mapping with your assigned integration specialist. Please reach out to your implementation specialist to let them know you're ready.
