Content

We're excited to announce a variety of enhancements that make viewing, navigating, and managing content easier and more user friendly.

  1. Parent Playbook Title - Now, when viewing a piece of content that's been added to a playbook, you'll see the parent Playbook Title displayed above the Content Title. Click on the parent Playbook Title to easily navigate back to the playbook.
  2. Playbook and Share Buttons Moved - Previously, the Add Playbook and Share buttons were displayed below the main asset preview on the right panel. Now, since users add the page to a playbook and share the page (not the content itself), we've moved the add Playbook and Share buttons out from the asset panel and display them within the Overview panel to make it clearer that these actions are on the page itself and not the asset (content).
  3. Asset Panel Size - We've widened the Asset panel to 1/3 width of the page to bring attention to the asset/content that is uploaded to the page.
  4. Main Asset File Type - We're now displaying the file type of the main asset in the preview window to make it clearer to the user what type of asset/content they are about to view.
  5. Play Button Displayed for Videos - If the main asset type is a video (YouTube, Wistia, Vidyard, etc) then a Play button is overlayed on the top of the preview image to make it to clearer to users that its a video asset and they can play the video. The video will continue to be played using the default player based on the type of video attached.
  6. Supporting Assets Section - Previously, only a single asset could be attached to a page. If admins wanted to reference a source file or another related file, they would have to create a new page and manually link the pages together. Now, System and Content Admins can attach Supporting Assets in addition to the main asset. If a Supporting Asset is uploaded to the page, then a new section titled "Supporting Assets" is displayed below the main asset and will display all supporting assets. For example, perhaps your main asset is a video that describes the content. You may upload the source PowerPoint file, PDF file, and image file as supporting assets so that the users can see all related assets as once. A few key things to note:
    • Only the main asset can be co-branded.
    • Currently, only viewing the main asset is tracked and reported in Channel Insights for reporting.
    • In the future, tracking of viewing and downloading Supporting Assets will be added to Channel Insights.
  7. Supporting Asset Title - If a System or Content Admin uploads a supporting asset then the title of the supporting asset will be displayed in the Supporting Assets section. This title is set by the admin during configuration.
  8. Download Supporting Asset - If the Supporting Asset can be directly downloaded without opening to view first in a new tab, then a download button is displayed. Clicking the download button will download the file using your browser's default download behavior.
  9. Associated Playbook Assets - Now, when viewing a piece of content that's been added to a playbook, all other content in the parent playbook is displayed at the bottom of the page in a section titled Associated Playbook Assets. Similar to other content in a learning track, this allows the user to easily navigate through other content in the playbook without having to go back to the parent playbook and then drill back down again.

Actions Dashboard

The Marketing dashboard has been renamed to Actions since the dashboard reflects partner engagement actions including learning tracks and deal registration.

Content Dashboard

Content dashboard.png

We've added a new dashboard titled "Content". This dashboard provides valuable insights on all pieces of published content in your portal. The are two tables that display all content:

  • All Content ranked by Engagement - Displays a table of all content, ranked by the total count of actions performed on each piece of content, descending.
  • All Content - Displays a table of all content, ranked by Total Actions, descending, with details of all the actions that make up the total actions. Easily sort columns to see which content has the most co-branding, most page views, and most content views.

Additionally, filter the entire dashboard by Action Type to see how content is ranked based on a specific action (i.e. co-branding, added to likes, added to pins, etc).

Accessing the Content Activity Dashboard

When viewing any of the content tables in the Content Dashboard, you can drill down to see more details about a single piece of content.

Content Activity drilldown.png

  1. Click on a Content Title to view the menu
  2. Click on the 'Go to <Content Title> Dashboard' option to drill down and view the Content Activity dashboard for this single piece of content.

  2. Content by Action Type Last 12 months - This chart further expands on the chart above by displaying granular actions taken on the selected piece of content across the last 12 months. You can hide/show a specific action type by selecting the Action Type in the legend.
  3. Activity by Partners - This table shows a list of all action counts by Partner Company, sorted by Total Actions count, descending.
  4. Activity by Groups - This table shows a list of all action counts by Group, sorted by Total Actions count, descending.
