Purpose
In this article, Allbound Administrator users will learn how to:
- Create a connection for Allbound.
- Test the connection in the Sandbox account.
- Deploy the connection in the production account.
Step 1: The Client/Vendor Tasks
The Vendor must create a user in their Skilljar
The Vendor must create API credentials in Skilljar. Steps to create API Credentials in Skilljar
This step must be completed by the client/vendor in their Skilljar Account.
The user created should have admin access with access to the API.
Step 1: Creating the Skilljar Connection
Click on Settings Icon → Training and Certifications → External Training Settings.
Click on "+ LMS Account".
- External LMS - Select Skilljar from the dropdown.

Sync Options - These are for the following:
- Training - If a customer wants to sync training from Skilljar then mark this checkbox.
- Training Progress - If a customer wants to track the completion of training in Skilljar, then mark this checkbox.
If this is selected then Training should be checked mandatorily. - Certifications - If the customer wants to sync the certifications then mark this checkbox.
- Issued Certifications - If the customer wants to track the issuance of certificates to the users then mark this checkbox.
If this is selected then Certifications should be checked mandatorily.
- Authentication Type - Select Basic Auth from the dropdown
- Username - Enter the username provided by the customer.
- Password - 12345678
- API URL - https://api.skilljar.com
- Version - v1
Once the following is saved, the job runs every 24 hours, the data syncs the next day and it can be tested.
