Purpose
This article is meant to guide you step-by-step on how to test your integrated MDF module with Salesforce. This can also be used as a reference on how your MDF feature integrates with your CRM in general.
Step-By-Step
- Login to your Allbound portal.
- Click the settings wheel > Users > search for a test user that you know is connected to your Salesforce and click into their user record. Check the box to allow them permissions to request MDFs (if not already checked).
- Make sure to save, then click the "Options" button > "Switch to this account" function.
- Go to MDF.
- Submit an MDF.
- Wait 5 minutes.
- Check in Salesforce that you received the MDF record as a SFDC campaign (or custom object record) that you submitted 5 minutes prior from Allbound. Ensure that you see all the data you populated from Allbound that's mapped with your Salesforce fields.
- Still on the record in Salesforce, update the status of the campaign/MDF record, and add some additional details to the record that you would possibly change in a real-time scenario.
- Wait 5 minutes.
- Refresh MDF in Allbound. Check to ensure updates were received from the API including status and other fields you populated on the SFDC campaign/MDF record.
- Still in Allbound, add details to the MDF that the partner would have added to provide more info as requested.
- Wait 5 minutes.
- Check in Salesforce that updates have synced. Be sure to refresh the page multiple times.
- Still on the campaign/MDF record in Salesforce, update the status to Approved, and add the amount granted to the partner.
- Wait 5 minutes.
